The app is on the basic side with no advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It does work with Alexa, but its voice controls aren't very intuitive or responsive. It was good at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away, but it was easily hung up on cables, socks and rug. This is the reason we decided not to include it on our Best Buy list. However, with a reasonable price and a dazzling performance, the Scout RX3 is worth considering when you're looking for an alternative to the traditional uprights.
